The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, are a universal call for action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals and the 169 goals that comprise the SDGs demonstrate the magnitude of this ambitious new universal Agenda. Some development priorities remain, such as poverty eradication, health, education and food security and nutrition, but also sets a wide range of economic, social and environmental objectives. More peaceful and inclusive societies are also promised and, more importantly, the means of implementation are defined.

The success of the SDGs depends to a large extent on the action and collaboration of all actors. Companies play a fundamental role in achieving them.

Businesses can discover new growth opportunities by developing and delivering solutions to achieve the SDGs. They can use them as a general framework to shape, direct, communicate, and report on their strategies, goals, and activities, allowing them to capitalize on a number of benefits.
