Sectoral reports on monitoring and environmental competitiveness

This document provides an overview of possible ecodesign strategies and further explores those strategies geared towards greater energy efficiency and a circular economy, given the particular relevance of these to the sector.

It analyses the three key aspects mentioned using a holistic environmental analysis that considers the implications of each element in the system and its value chain. The analysis has also been conducted from a Life Cycle perspective, taking into account all stages of electrical and electronics products throughout their life cycle (e.g. raw materials, manufacturing, use and end-of-life).
