Development of a tool for ecodesign

Within the framework of the ISO 14006 standard, Orona had its own life-cycle assessment and ecodesign tool based on eco-indicator 99. In this project the tool has been updated, turning it into a multi-functional application that makes it possible to calculate the carbon footprint of products according to the ISO 14067 standard and to carry out a life-cycle assessment with a clear focus on the creation of Environmental Product Declarations. The update has included the adaptation to the new product category rules prepared by the International EPD System in November 2020.

Life-cycle Assessment of two elevator models

In this project the life-cycle assessments were developed and Environmental Product Declaration drafts were submitted for different elevator models (M34E, M33 (630 and 1000 kg), MRL 1250B). To achieve this, work was carried out in close collaboration with Orona to compile the inventory and each one of the models was modelled using SimaPro software. The framework applied were the Product Category Rules for elevators of the International EPD System
