Part recovery

There are products that for different reasons cannot be recovered and reused as an entire product. However, its parts may still be useful for other processes. Part recovery falls in this context.

It is a much more widespread and technically developed practice that the recovery of entire products, particularly in some specific sectors such as the automotive industry, where there is a constant demand for spares. However, the way of recovering the parts will greatly vary from one sector to another, depending on the part's function during its life, its age, the materials it is made of, etc.

This notebook aims to shred a little light on how the incorporation of ecodesign can facilitate the recovery of parts and used components and thus contribute to minimise the waste of resources.
