Organisation Environmental Footprint

The Organisation Environmental Footprint is a multi-criteria measurement of the environmental performance of an organisation providing goods or services, in view of the entire life cycle.

These studies are produced with the goal of attempting to reduce the environmental impact derived from an organisation's activities, taking supply chain activities into account (extracting raw materials, managing final waste, as well as production and use stages). Among the organisations considered are companies, public administration entities, non-profit organisations, and other bodies. It should be mentioned that the OEF come in addition to other tools focused on specific thresholds and locations.

All organisation environmental footprints are based on certain Organisation Environmental Footprint Sector Rules (OEFCR), which provide a detailed technical guide on how to carry out an Environmental Footprint study for a specific sector of activity. The OEFCR complement the general methodological orientation for environmental footprints, providing more specifications on a sectoral level, ensuring coherence.
